Asturias has the best locations for landscape and seascape photography all around Spain, and some of the most spectacular of all Europe. With incredible beaches, cliffs, and rocky formations, it became one of the most popular destinies for landscape lovers.
This photography workshop will take us through the best spots of Asturias. We will be focusing to visit these locations during different light conditions with safety. Some of the places we will visit are famous as El Silencio, La Gueirúa, or the Cliffs of hell. But also we will visit some other more unknown and secret locations, making this workshop a perfect choice in our selection of Spain Photo Tours.
At the same time, we will have time to visit some really picturesque villages and small town during our trip, as, Cudillero, Llanes or Lastres as an example. We will also visit the city of Áviles, where we will have a session by its most iconic building, the Centro Niemeyer.
With all this location to visit, we also will have time for post-processing lessons and composition revisions of all photos we will be taking during our travel. Even if we will be focusing on seascapes edition, we also will have time for architecture post-processing techniques.
All these features make this one a really complete photography workshop, which will bring the capability to manage your own landscape photo sessions in the future.

Photos Asturias Photography Workshop
We’ll be meeting at Gijón train station at midday to start our Asturias Photography Workshop. From here, we will move to our comfortable hotel in the city, where we will set up our base for the next 7 days. If you arrive by plane to the airport of Asturias, we will manage to pick you to our hotel in Gijón.
After that, we will have a short meeting to explain the basic details and recommendations. During our travel, we will be visiting different shore locations around Asturias. This way, we will be focusing to teach you how to understand the sea tides to capture amazing photographs and be safe.
Once we finish our first meeting, we will move to our first location to start capturing the beautiful seascapes of Asturias during sunset.
Our planning for the next 5 days will change according to weather conditions. This way, you will be able to be part and learn how to manage a seascape photo session. Anyway, our perfect steps will be following the same rules most of the days.
To start the day, we will awake early every day to arrive at the spot decided before sunrise. Once there, our guides will explain to you the specific characteristics of the spot before start shooting. During the sunrise time, our guides will be helping all participants with composition techniques and trying that all develop his own style.
After that, we will have a well-deserved breakfast in the area or already at our hotel. Then we will have time for a common revision of a selection of photographs of all participants. This way, we will learn from each other to improve our next session.
During the day, we will visit close villages and spots and enjoy the Asturian gastronomy. After that, we will approach our sunset location. Once there we will have time to study the conditions and look for good compositions before the sun gives us the best light conditions.
In the evening, we will have time for a tasty dinner. Also, most of the days we will do some post-processing lessons with the photos taken during the travel before coming back to our rooms to rest for the next day.
We recommend you bring your own laptop, but if you don’t have it don’t worry as we will be recording our screens. This way, you will be able to practice with more calm at home.
Today, we will enjoy our last sunrise in a close location that we visited during the previous days. After that, we will enjoy a well-deserved breakfast before come back to our hotel. From here we’ll drive back to Gijon train station, where this Asturias photo workshop will come to the end.
