During the Dolomites photo tour, we will explore the amazing landscapes of the North of Italy. Jagged peaks, rugged mountains, alpine hills, and beautiful Italian cute huts. There is so much to photograph! We picked up very special locations for you to visit day by day. During these days we will visit the most amazing locations the area has to offer. For example Tre Cime di Lavaredo or Cinque Torri, the most famous locations in the area. But also places like Lago di Braies, Val di Funes, Carezza Lake, or Santa Maddalena village.
Autumn paints the Dolomites in a breathtaking display of colors, with the leaves ablaze in fiery reds, golden yellows, and burnt oranges. This creates a stunning backdrop for your photography, offering a unique perspective compared to the summer months. Even though the days are shorter, the fresh mountain air makes for energizing hikes and offers opportunities to capture the landscape in the warm afternoon sunlight.
Definitely, this trip to the Italian Dolomites in small group size, will be plenty of beautiful trekkings and hikes, perfect for landscape photography. We arrive at Venice airport where we will start our Dolomites Photo Tour. Also, if you want to stay in Venice a couple of days before our trip we can prepare a short tour. Thus, you will enjoy a beautiful city with a great opportunity to get some amazing shots.
In fact, the meeting will be in the afternoon at the airport for the participants of the workshop. After that, we will gather all the members of this adventure and pick up the vehicles (included in the price)
To begin with, we will move for a sunset session at Passo Rolle and Baita Segantini. Once there, we will shoot tremendous mountain landscapes of Passo Rolle. After sunset, we have another hour to drive to our hotel located near Carezza lake.
Firstly, we will enjoy the sunrise at Carezza lake, the little gem of Dolomites. Certainly, this small lake located under the feet of beautiful mountains with slopes of tall pines and golden larches. Secondly, we will come back to our hotel for breakfast. After that, we will pack and drive towards our next location-based at Val di Funes.
As well as we arrive, we will enjoy this picturesque alpine valley with little cozy Tyrol houses and famous churches. We will base at St Maddalena village for 2 nights. Finally, we will enjoy the afternoon and sunset shooting at St. Johan church and St Maddalena church, with the impressive Odle mountains in the background.
Firstly, we will enjoy the sunrise shoot in Val di Funes or Passo Delle Erbe. Certainly, we will enjoy enigmatic landscapes with the incredible peaks of Odle range in Val di Funes. After that, we will get back to the hotel for breakfast and rest. Also, today we can take advantage of some Post-processing tutorials and instructions.
After the lunch, we will head towards La Valle Wengen, a beautiful chapel located in this village at the slopes of alpine pastures. As soon as we finish the sunset session, we will return to our hotel at Santa Maddalena village.
We will enjoy the sunrise shoot in Val di Funes or Passo Delle Erbe after a short hike.
After lunch, we will move to the Alpe di Siusi area, a beautiful mountain resort. Here we will enjoy the sunset, in a very calm and serene place in the Italian Alps.
Today, we will meet the sun at Alpe di Siusi enjoying south Tyrol landscapes. This way, we will have a high chance to shoot the misty landscapes in the morning. At this moment of the valleys are shining with gold.
After breakfast, we will pack and moving towards the eastern part of the Italian Dolomites, to the famous Tre Cime area. We’ll drive to Rifugio Scoiattoli near Cinque Torri, where we’ll watch the sunset and spend the night at the hillside refuge.
We will awake early to enjoy the sunrise at Cinque Torri, incredible rock formations. Firstly, This area is also called open-air museum because of many signs left from the World War and by Italian troops.
After the session, we will return to our hotel for breakfast. However, if we are on time, we also will visit Lago Limides. Truly beautiful lake, surrounded by incredible mountains with a very easy hike.
To finish the day, in the evening we will drive to Misurina and Antorno lake. Certainly, a small gem under the feet of Tre Cime.
Firstly in the morning, we will enjoy the sunrise around the area of Tre Cime di Lavaredo. We will spend the second half of the day hiking under these impressive tall walls and looking for compositions. Likewise, there will be flowers around which will work perfectly as a foreground for our pictures.
During 1,5 hours we will have an easy hike to get to the famous location in front of Three Sisters (Tre Cime). Once there, we will shoot in low evening sun here.
Finally, we will back to the cars late in the evening and continue to our hotel for the final dinner. Depending on the weather will stay there for possible night shooting.
Today, we’ll leave our hotel and drive to Lago di Braies, one of the most famous spots in the Dolomite mountains. Certainly, a wonderful lake, where its emerald waters usually are calm in the morning.
Finally, we will drive to Venice airport where we will finish our Dolomites Photo Tour. Therefore, we expect to arrive late at the airport, so plan to book your flights for the late evening to come back home.

Extending our workshop to photograph Venice for 3 days will give you plenty of chances to explore one of the most magical cities in the world and capture some amazing photos. We will pick you up at Venice Marco Polo Airport, and make an itinerary day and night for the next few days. From early morning to late night, we will walk around the bridges, churches, and our personal favorite spots.Â
