TheĀ Myanmar photo tour, its a travel to one of the most mysterious and undiscovered destinations in the world, formerly known asĀ Burma. The golden land of pagodas & Buddhist monasteries, breathtaking landscapes with friendly people of different ethnicities. Discover unique locations and the famous Buddhist monks & Burmese culture and traditions.

We design this Myanmar workshop to enjoy the best locations in Burma. You will be able to photograph places like Shwedagon Pagoda, Inle Lake (Lake Dweller), Bagan, or Mandalay for example. Also, we will experience the Burmese culture in ancient villages, markets & temples. Definitely an incredible experience to captureĀ amazing portraits and landscapes: a perfect destination forĀ travel photography.

Itinerary Myanmar Photo Tour

Day 1Ā Arrive in Yangon, Myanmar

We will meet at Yangon airport to start our Myanmar photo tour. Our local guides will drive us to the hotel, where will have time to rest from the trip.

Day 2Ā Rangun (Yangon)

After breakfast in our hotel, we will go to do a city tour of the downtown area for street photography. Also, we will take the circle train to capture some photography of the people during their daily routines. We will have time to capture the local markets during this day.

Finally, our last spot this day will be Shwedagon Pagoda. Also known as Golden Pagoda, stands 326 ft (99.4m) on the Singuttara Hill. From here we will be photographing the sunset.

Day 3 Rangun (Yangon) - Twante – Dala

Today we will awake a little early, and after breakfast, we will start a road trip to Twante. Above all, this village’s famous for its pottery works, which we will be shooting at these Myanmar workshops. Also, we will photograph red umbrellas at Dala all afternoon, before returning to Yangon. A complete day to photograph the local culture.

Day 4Ā Yangon - Heho - Pindaya

Today we will fly to Heho, after having breakfast in our hotel and transfer to the Yangon airport. Once in Heho, we will do a road trip to Pindaya by car. As soon as we arrive, we will take photos of novices playing at a giant amazing Bayan tree that is more than 100 years old.

Also, we will visit the village, to photograph the traditional bamboo hats making. After this complete day, we will arrive at our hotel at Aungban.

Day 5Ā Aungban - NyaungShwe - Inle Lake

We will awake early today to photograph the sunrise at Aungban. Once there, we will be able to do shooting with models in the colorful plantation fields. After that, we will drive to Nyaungshwe by car.

At this point in Inle Lake, we will be shooting colorful fabrics. Thereafter and during sunset, we will be photographing fishermen at the lake. Finally this night, we will stay in a Hotel near Inle Lake to be ready for the next sunrise shooting.

Day 6Ā Inle Lake

Again, we will spend the full day at Inle Lake. So we will awake at sunrise to photograph the fishermen close to our hotel in the Lake. Once the sun goes up, we will approach the colorful cotton threads and fabrics at Inle Lake.

In the afternoon, we will have time for shooting fishermen among mangrove trees. The rays of the sun will be coming through trees, give us incredible incredible light to photograph the fishermen. For sunset, we will be near GIC also with the fishermen to capture these iconic images of Myanmar in the floating gardens.

Finally, at night we will come back to our hotel at Inle Lake.

Day 7Ā Inle Lake - Nyaung Shwe - Heho Airport - Bagan

After breakfast at our hotel, we will drive to Heho Airport to take a flight to Nyaung Shwe. Once in the city, we will transfer to our hotel this night at Bagan, and drive to Salay.

There we will visit the Shin-Pin-Sar-Kyo monastery, to photograph the novices in his famous wooden corridor of 137 years old. We will have time to share and capture their daily life. After our visit to the monastery, we will return to Bagan to rest in our hotel.

Day 8Ā Bagan

Our day will start with a sunrise photo session at Bagan. Today, we will be focus to photograph the novices in the temples and in the city. First, we will visit the Shwezigon Pagoda Corridor, looking for lights and shadows to photograph the novices in their daily tasks.

Also, we will visit other ancient temples, where the novices are studying and praying. The light rays there, are entering through ancient windows, which will give us the opportunity to capture amazing portraits. Finally, to finish the day, we will do sunset photos of the temples of Bagan before come back to our hotel.

Day 9Ā Bagan - Mandalay - Mingun

After our breakfast at the hotel, we will drive to Mandalay and check-in at our hotel. From there, we will drive to Mingun, the ancient capital of Myanmar.

At Mingun, we will be able to photograph the novices of these ancient temples of the amazing architecture. We will stay here till we do sunset photography in this scenario. Once the night starts, we will come back to our hotel in Mandalay to rest from the trip.

Day 10Ā Mandalay

Firstly in the morning, we will go to the U Bein Bridge for sunrise. Once there, we will be photographing his famous fisherman with nets all morning.

After that, we will arrive at the Kantakkone monastery and monastic school. Particularly, here we will be photographing the architecture and life of the monks till sunset. Finally, we will come back to our hotel for our last night of the travel to our Mandalay hotel.

Day 11Ā End of the trip

Today will finish our Myanmar photo tour, at the Mandalay International Airport.

The price of this Myanmar Photo Tours is based on the participation of a minimum of 6 participants. In case there are not enough participants, the possibility of making the trip will be offered with an increase proportional to the price, or a 100% refund of the total paid.

The last time of exchange rate calculation was January 1st 2021, the final price can be modified up to 30 days before the tour start.

Accommodation

The accommodations offered are shared double rooms at Hotels with private bathrooms and breakfast.

Insurance

Our tours include basic insurance, we suggest contracting full cover insurance. Contact us to expand your insurance coverage.

Transports

Our tours include all internal transports (cars, vans, trains, or flights). We don’t include international flights, but we will guide you at the moment of your booking the best options to arrive to the destiny from your home.

Itinerary

The itinerary mentioned can be changed due to a force major reasons like weather conditions or accidents for example.

Payment & Refunds

To book your place you need to pay 20% of the total cost. The total payment must be made 15 days before the trip. For security reasons due to the pandemic, you do not need to pay for booking

Cancellations

DUE TO COVID-19, we have exceptional conditions for cancellations: Before 15 days we refund 100%. Less than 15 days there is no refund.
