The first day of this tour will start with the arrival at Kuusamo International Airport. The group will meet at the airport to begin this Lapland photo tour.
Later, we will travel to our destination for the next nights, Ruka. From this first night, we will be very aware of the forecasts and conditions to try to photograph northern lights.
During your stay, you’ll be accommodated in a comfortable 3-star hotel, strategically located close to all the wonderful places we’ll be visiting. Enjoy a delicious and energizing breakfast each morning to start your days full of adventure.
Our expert guide will be in charge of planning the daily activities and adapting them to the changing weather conditions of the fascinating Finnish Arctic. You’ll photograph majestic snow-covered forests in Riisitunturi National Park, with the opportunity to explore various routes to capture stunning sunset scenes.
But that is not all. You will also experience the thrill of the rapids of the Vattumutka River, where the beauty of the frozen forest combines with the history of an old mill and the famous Myllykoski Mill.
In addition to the stunning daytime views, our nights in Finnish Lapland will also be magical. During these days, we move to a place very close to the border with Russia, a few meters from this country we will stay for two nights, in a comfortable cabin with all the comforts; Here we will visit Kuntivaara Hill, where a local driver will take us to the top by sleigh. During our stay in this magnificent place, all meals are included, as well as the use of winter equipment available at the accommodation such as snowshoes or skis.
In our last two days we will return to the town of Ruka, where we will stay in the same hotel we stayed at the beginning of our adventure, with the same conditions. During these two days, we will travel to a town south of Kuusamo to photograph an area with beautiful frozen trees, easily accessible, and very comfortable to walk and photograph.
On our last day, our guide will take us to Kuusamo Airport where our photography trip will end.
