Arrive in La Paz, where you will be welcomed and transported to our comfortable hotel. After a welcome lunch, we’ll have a brief orientation session to prepare for the adventure. We will explore La Paz in the afternoon, capturing the city’s vibrant atmosphere and stunning views from various vantage points. As the sun sets, we’ll photograph the dramatic light and shadows over the city, followed by a group dinner to discuss our first day’s experiences.
We start the day with a hearty breakfast before traveling to Sajama National Park, home to Bolivia’s highest peak. Upon arrival, we will settle into our rustic accommodation and have lunch. The afternoon is dedicated to photographing the stunning Laguna Huayna Khota and the towering Nevado Sajama during the golden hours of sunset and twilight. The evening will conclude with a group dinner and a review of the day’s captures.
Our day begins early with a pre-dawn session to capture the sunrise over the majestic landscapes of Sajama National Park. After breakfast and some rest, we’ll have a group lunch. In the late afternoon, we head to Laguna Isla, known for its serene waters and dramatic mountain backdrops, perfect for sunset and nighttime photography, including capturing the Milky Way.
After breakfast, we return to La Paz and enjoy lunch together. In the afternoon, we’ll visit the surreal landscapes of Valle de las Animas and Valle de la Luna. These locations offer unique geological formations and stunning vistas, providing excellent opportunities for capturing abstract and landscape photographs as the sun sets. We conclude the day with a group dinner and rest.
We depart early for the airport to catch our flight to Uyuni. Upon arrival, we’ll check into our hotel and have breakfast. The afternoon will be spent exploring and photographing the vast Salar de Uyuni. As the sun sets, we’ll capture the salt flats’ famous mirror effect, followed by a unique dining experience under the stars.
A full-day exploration of Uyuni’s most iconic sites awaits us. We’ll visit the eerie Train Cemetery, the traditional village of Colchani, and various salt flat formations. Our day will be filled with sunrise and sunset shoots, capturing the diverse landscapes and ethereal beauty of Uyuni. An optional nighttime session will allow for astrophotography enthusiasts to capture the star-studded sky.
We continue our journey through Uyuni, visiting remote and stunning locations such as the Ollagüe volcano and a series of high-altitude lagoons. Each location offers unique photographic challenges and opportunities, from flamingos in the lagoons to the dramatic rock formations of the Siloli Desert. We end the day at Laguna Colorada, known for its striking red waters, and spend the night in a cozy refuge.
An early morning session at the geysers captures the surreal landscape in the morning light. We then visit the thermal springs, providing opportunities for both landscape and portrait photography. The journey continues through the Dali Desert and Laguna Verde, concluding with a group dinner back in Uyuni.
Returning to La Paz, we will visit some streets & viewpoints of the city, that provide a fascinating subject for architectural and cultural photography. We return to La Paz in the evening for a final group dinner and reflection on our journey.
