During our Portugal photography workshop, you will discover the best locations for landscape photography in Portugal. During our 8 days photo tour, we will visit the stunning Algarve coastlines & impressive beaches, but also colorful streets in the villages around the coast and the capital Lisbon. In the last years, Portugal became a dream destination for photographers, that now we offer you to visit while you will learn photography.
Throughout this tour, we will visit the best Algarve locations as the beaches of Albandeira, Castelejo, Camilo, and some other hidden gems of the Atlantic coast. But also typical fisherman villages as Vila Nova de Milfontes or Carrasqueira, plus the beautiful streets and viewpoints of Lisbon to make this photo tour a complete experience to capture the beauty of Portugal.Â
The week of this photography workshop is designed to take advantage of the sea tides and temperature to photograph Portugal with the best conditions. Also, is the best season to capture the milky way and found beautiful flowers in the foreground in these amazing landscapes.
Thanks to our photo guides with experience in the area, you will learn the techniques and postprocessing tips to come back home with final pictures. You will be learning in the field during this 9 days tour, to come back home with final pictures!Â

We’ll be meeting at Lisbon airport where will start our Portugal photography workshop. From here, we will move to our hotel in Lisbon, where we will have a short meeting to explain the next days.
After that, we will move directly to our first location: Torre de Belém. Here we will enjoy the last lights of the day before have a tasty dinner in the center of the city. As soon as we finish, we will come back to our hotel to rest and be ready for the next day.
Today we will awake early, as we will approach Vasco da Gama bridge for the sunrise session. At this iconic location, we will be photographing this amazing structure until the sun rise the horizon. At this moment, we will have time for a well-deserved breakfast before visiting the iconic streets of Lisbon.
We will spend the day, photographing the historical center of the capital, with the iconic tram and the steep streets as the focus point of our photos. A perfect moment to learn architecture and travel photography while we enjoy the Portuguese culture and gastronomy.
In the afternoon, we will drive to the closest village of Carrasqueira. This small fisherman town is probably the most beautiful of the Comporta region. Famous for its harbor on stilts, will bring us the possibility of amazing compositions during the sunset when light and colors are reflected in the calm waters of the estuary.
Also, we will enjoy at the area of a tasty dinner before coming back to our hotel in Lisbon.
After our first days in Lisbon, today we will drive to the Algarve seacoast. If the weather didn’t let us photograph the Vasco da Gama bridge the day before, we will study the possibility to capture this morning to try again day this shoot.
After a calm drive to Carvoeiro of around 2 hours, we will establish our base for the next 2 nights in our hotel. Today we will be exploring the area during the day after lunch. For sunset, we will approach to Praia da Albandeira where we will capture the last rays of the sun at this amazing beach.
Once we finish, we will have time for dinner in the close village before returning to our hotel.
Today we will awake early for a sunrise session at the closest Praia dos Arrifes. At this iconic location, we will be able to capture amazing pics while the sun bring us a soft light. Once we finish, we will have breakfast in the area.
During the day, we will have a private expedition to the amazing Algar de Benagil. A natural beach formed in a cave of the Algarve coast, that we will be able to reach only by boat.
After that, we will come back to our hotel for dinner and a short break before sunset. Today, our session at the end of the day will be not only the sunset, but also night photography at the Praia da Marinha.
Today, we will awake early again to enjoy this time the sunrise from Praia da Marinha. After that, we will come back to our hotel where we will have breakfast and pack our things.
In the morning we will drive to our next location in Lagos, where we will sleep for the next 2 nights. Also, today we will have time for some post-processing lessons of the photos we already capture during the trip.
For sunset, we will approach the closest Praia do Castelejo. Here we will be able to play with compositions while the light goes down the horizon. After that, we will have a tasty dinner in the area before come back to our hotel in Lagos.
Our sunrise session today will be in the closest Ponta da Piedade. This location will offer us an amazing cliff and rock formations where we will capture the first lights of the day. After that, we will have breakfast at Lagos before drive to the eastern point of continental Europe: Cabo San Vicente.
During the day, we will visit the village of Sagres. A location famous for surfers all around the world, but that will offer us incredible photographs. We will have lunch on the streets of Sagres, where we will visit its amazing beaches and the fortress.
For sunset, we will drive to the close Cabo San Vicente. Famous to be the eastern point of Europe, the seascapes and the lighthouse will offer us incredible views to finish the day.
After our session, we will have dinner in the area and drive back to Lagos, where we will sleep tonight.
Today we will awake early to photograph Praia do Camilo during sunrise. This close beach to Lagos will offer us amazing rock formations to compose our pics with the first lights. After that, we will have breakfast and check out from our hotel to start to drive directly to our next destination.
After a drive of around 2 hours, we will arrive at Vila Nova de Milfontes. Here we will have time for another post-processing lesson after lunch. In the afternoon, we will approach our last sunset location in Portugal. At the beach of Vila Nova de Milfontes, we will enjoy the last rays of lights before having a farewell dinner.
Today, we’ll drive back to Lisbonmorning, where this Portugal photography workshop will come to the end.
